Medieval Festival  August 24, 2008

Today we went down to Volkspark in K-town to enjoy a trip back in time! The town was hosting their annual Medieval Festival and everyone was dressed up from that era. There were kings, queens, knights and jesters. People were selling clothing and other items from the era. There was delicious food and beer everywhere. We even got to watch a blacksmith making his own tools. The kids played on a spinning wheel and the merry-go-round and had a blast! A guy even danced to drumbeat music and slung fire.

The boy's highlight of the day was getting their swords, sheilds and bow and arrows.

This was a great experience and got us out of the house for the afternoon!
