Christmas

Merry Christmas!

Well Christmas is upon us all, and this is the time of year that I should be the happiest! I am trying my very hardest to be upbeat and festive.

The first part of the pictures are of us getting out the decorations and beginning to make the house look like Christmas. Of course, any of you that know Ryan, know that this is his holiday. He absolutely loves all parts of Christmas...not just the gifts. Nick on the other hand, just wants to know where the presents are and why Christmas can't come every day of the year.

The next section of pictures shows us at the Trier Christmas Market. It was decorated so pretty but it was congested with too many people. Not to mention it was freeeezzzinggg! We didn't stay long, just enough to say we had the experience.

Then we had to make gingerbread cookies for Santa. The boys had so much fun making their own creations. We had the Santa gingerbread cookie, the boogey man gingerbread cookie, the "don't do crack" gingerbread cookie, and Nick's favorite the naked girl gingerbread cookie. lol

Afterwards, we opened a present on Christmas Eve. The boys got games and John got a Germany stein and a bottle of Jack Daniels. He was so happy! Our baby girl Kensi got a new GA Bulldog bed. Can you believe I actually made it myself? Wow!

Of course, then came Christmas! The boys spent all day tracking Santa on www.noradsanta.org and when they saw he reached Germany, they were up the stairs and in bed in a flash. Santa came and left so many presents. They woke up the next morning to way too many presents. We called and got Nana and Papa on the webcam to watch us. Some of their presents included a air hockey table, an indoor trampoline, Playstation 3, Nintendo DS Lite, Xbox 360 Steering Wheel, Playmobil Castle and Airplane, and many many many more toys!

Our funny Christmas story is of Ryan...he opened up the Playdoh Dentist Drill and looked at us and said he didn't want that. It was for babies. He wanted a shotgun. He asked Nick if he wanted the toy. We died laughing!

In the end, John grilled steak for Christmas and we watched Christmas movies. As you can see, Ryan was pooped and fell asleep eating.

It was tough being away from home for the first time in 32 years but we made it through and had a great Christmas!

We wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
